I need some advice on how I actually withdraw a statement. Can I just go to the police station and make a second statement.

in for a treat if he/she does ladybirder....
No police force will allow withdrawal of a statement as I said in my first post on this. As Murraymints says Trident are able to take a witness and family into their protection program . I would want to be aware of that if I was in Sam77's position, I hope she is now aware of the help available.
I doubt we'll hear from Sam77 in future, what with witness protection and all that.
a day later - are we any nearer to how to withdraw a statement?

if she doesnt know who she made the original statement to
then the only course is to walk ( back) into a police station and say you want to make a second statement isnt it ?

There is no internet box you can access and tick which says
previous statment withdraw now ?

( as Landlord when they wanted to arrest one of my unruly tenants (Ay only have nice people now) they used to give me a number to ring)
