Hi myself and a few other women, some whom I know personally and some I do not, have made statements against a man. Can I retract my statement without the other knowing that I have retracted it. I'm just finding it all extremely stressful and is making me quite ill. I really wish I had never got involved in the whole thing. If I knew that the other women wouldn't find out. I would drop my statement instantly. I just feel bad for the other women. I don't want to be a part of all of it anymore and want out.

You cannot retract a statement. Once it's made it cannot be unmade. All you can do is to make a second one saying the contents of the first were untrue. You may still be called to court to give evidence where you will be asked, under cross-examination, why your two statements vary so much.
