Hi,

Over the last week or so I keep getting a sharp pain (a bit like a stitch) in my side - just below my ribcage on the left side of my body about halfway between the middle and my side.....It only happens occasionally but it really takes my breath away when it does - I haven't noticed any kind of pattern to it - it seems fairly random.

Sorry if this sounds a bit vague - any ideas

A xXx

i had somethng similar when i was really stressed it was the muscles of my rib cage spasming as i wasnt breathing using my full lung capacity hope u feel better soon
It could be that part of the lining of the lung has detatched from the intercostal wall - it's rare, but happens in some people, often after a coughing fit or straining. Best to see your GP just in case x
