I have been given a Rugby shirt, specifically the new south wales state of origin shirt from a friend in australia; since i can't return it, and it is a bit large for me i was wondering if there is any way to shrink it, baring in mind it has labels. It is 60% cotton 40% polyester. Any help is appreciated

Have you washed it yet? Sometimes they tend to shrink after washing, or you can put it in the dryer to dry after washing. You must check it often in the dryer before it shrinks too much.
