I rarely got to large Towns/Cities shopping these days but would still go if invited and be watchful.
I was in Edinburgh on Tuesday - it did not even occur to me, never does. I have always felt quite safe there.
I go to Edinburgh a lot and sometimes use the train...Never crosses my mind..Perhaps I should be more alert
nope.
Never thought about it, even after the Glasgow Airport nonsense.
I would never go shopping in a large city. My experience of them (especially London) is that they are mainly full of tatty establishments.

I travel to London frequently and have never even thought twice about it (despite having lost a close work colleague in the 7/7 atrocity). Going on Monday, in fact, for a few pints and some pub grub. The greatest fear I have is being unable to get there because of engineering work or industrial "action" on the railways.
No, not frightened at all. I'd go to London, NY, Barcelona, Edinburgh, wherever, if I had things planned to do there. Not shopping though, but whatever else I might have gone for.

Anything could happen anytime, anywhere, and even if you're in a city when an atrocity occurs the chances of your being affected by it are very small.
I've decided I don't fancy Paris at the moment but haven't given the matter any thought when in London recently - how illogical is that?
No it is important to remember that the chance of being killed or injured in a normal accident is many thousands of times higher than being caught in a terrorist attack!

Thing is, do you know if you are walking towards or away from an incident? If you don't do what you want/need to do then you are just letting these animals win.
I loathe town shopping with a vengeance, but I am certainly not afraid to go into my closest big city (Hull) for a meal or meet up with my sister, or anything that requires attending to.
Amazon and I are very happy together for the shopping part.

Ditto Ferlew, who wants all the hassle of traveling to a city, queuing, bad manners, beggars, pushing & shoving, trying to understand shop assistants, who cant speak proper English, and coffee shops trying to rip you off, charging £4 or £5 for a coffee!

You dont have that with Amazon or other shops on-line, so I never think about dangers, unless I spill my reasonable priced homemade coffee, over the keyboard.
no. I'm no more vigilant than before, either. I can't be watching every white van in London. There have always been cranks in London - the history of casual violence there over the centuries is eye-opening - but I'm not going to spend my life scared.
Well it appears I'm the wuss of AB because I am scared...

You are NOT a Wuzz Ummmm, we are going to Barcelona next month, I will be alert but if it happens it happens, nice knowing you all, and in case some!!!!! think I'm been funny with that statement,I'm not.
I missed the bandstand bomb in London by 10 mins... had been in a deckchair right on top of it .. that has made me more aware of the dangers I think... it exploded whilst I was still in the park..
I don't think many people are actually afraid - just more aware. That's why I tell my husband to walk towards the traffic. If a vehicle comes hurtling off the road ahead, at least he'd see it and hopefully have time to get out of its path.
Geography is not my strong point...but if I here of an accident on the motorway and OH is late home from work I start to worry.

Same rules for him and the kids...if they are away they are to ring or text me in the morning.
I know what you mean, ummmm. Mine always ring me, but on 7/7 phone lines were down and I spent the whole day thinking they were dead. Awful, just awful.
No from me as well, I'm in and out of central London all the time. Life is hazardous, if you think about everything too much you'll never stick your head out of the duvet, just take normal sensible precautions, have your wits about you, enjoy life because any single one of us could drop dead in the next five minutes.

Ummmm as you know M1, they are not the best of places, accidents are caused by idiot's that do not know how to use the roads.
