It's clear that the right-wingers on this thread have never quite grasped what many English words actually mean or the significance of the language's tenses.
a. "Under a Labour government"...Well, IS there a Labour government? Not yet, as far as I know, so what are they whingeing about?
b. It WILL be free"...'will' is a future-tense verb, so no one with any sense can rationally complain that it has not yet happened.
Let's all do the sensible thing and vote Labour next time - which might be closer than we think! - and see what happens to Corbyn's claims.

More despicable assertions. We know only too well, that is what rattles the marxists. Corbyn said in a pre-election
interview that saddling university students with a massive financial burden after graduation was excessive and vowed to deal with it. The implication was clear. As well as abolishing tuition fees, he would write off outstanding loans. And it worked. Young people went to the polls in record numbers. Two thirds of under 30s voted Labour. Despite having ample opportunity to retract the promise before the polls were conducted he continued to brazen it out and encouraged our young people to vote based on a blatant lie. They won't forget. Only now, in true Abbott fashion, does he admit that he had no idea of the financial or social implications of such an irresponsible sound bite Mind you he made pledges to borrow £250billion for infrastructure projects, an extra £30billion to be given to the NHS, 10,000 more police officers, extending free child care, and a £10 minimum wage. All vote winners within the groups with a vested interest. He well knows, as does even the most ignorant of our electorate, that these promises would bankrupt Britain. These promises were carefully costed, and it is obvious that the crippling tax increases proposed to cover them would come nowhere near funding a public spending orgy, which is of course the usual modus operendi of the left wing fifth column. Meehh.

As nearly 70% of student debits are never repaid anyway , writing them off is not as expensive as some think, especially when you add in the cost of trying to recover them.

What amazes me about this affair is that when the adverts on the bus, that said that by leaving the EU, we could use "the £350m that goes to the EU every week, and spend it on the NHS" we were told that it didn't really mean that after all.
But when Corbyn quite clearly doesn't promise to wipe out all student debts, it is presumed that he did !

mickey - your business about the bus has been ironed out more than once as having been misinterpreted. It was a placard which it would seem everybody but labour understood the meaning.
