/// Corbyn admits he had no idea how much it would cost when he told students he would 'deal with' their existing debts and denies the pledge was ever meant to be a promise ///

/// He told the BBC's Andrew Marr: 'I pointed out we had written the manifesto in a short space of time because there was a surprise election ///

Oh so organised aren't they, do you want them ruling this country?

No.
Seconded
Yes, and they probably will in the near future.

Corbyn made it clear where the Labour Party stands on this issue.

Well he said enough just before the election to make lots of young impressionable people vote for them. Hopefully they will see through him next time.
How does that equate with this statement?
//Mr Corbyn today insisted he never intended to make a 'commitment' on clearing debts as he scrambled to defuse Tory claims he had betrayed his core supporters//

k
It's made clear in the DM article Mikey:
''We never said we would completely abolish it because we were unaware of the size of it at the time,' he added'
^^For Mikey^T
The Tories are fast becoming unelectable again, just like it did in 1997....poor Leadership, divided and disloyal Cabinet, etc.....Labour is just waiting in the wings.
Mikey, could you answer my post at 13.33.

They have got a very long wait.
The shows been over for Labour for a long time, ever since their fat lady has been singing her but off.
In his interview with NME, he said, "there is a block of those that currently have a massive debt, and I’m looking at ways that we could reduce that, ameliorate that, lengthen the period of paying it off, or some other means of reducing that debt burden.”

I can't see a pledge there to wipe out the student debt.
Danny.....I can't find any evidence that Corbyn promised to clear the debts of all students. What he has said is that "he would try to deal with it, by reducing the burden of debt"
Mikey, I ca remember him ,(on one of his rallies) shouting that he would wipe out student debt.
Perhaps you would be good enough to let us know what "reducing the burden of debt" actually means then if it doesnt mean paying it off?
Danny....as he has explained this morning, if Labour had been in Government now, they would have cancelled the coming university years fees.
And then what, reinstate them the following year?
YEs, lets not forget which party introduced them in the first place!
danny...where has Corbyn said that ?

Disagree with Labour and Corbyn if you like...its your privilege, but it doesn't help to make things up.
