Agree with others, the time to let him go peacefully is long overdue.

Yes, it must be terrible for the parents, no one disputes that, and as an emphatic human as I'm sure we all are, we fully understand how painful this must be for them. However (sadly) their feeling have to take a back seat to what is best for Charlie, I do not believe that prolonging is existence, is achieving that.

The grandson of one of our volunteers died of the same condition. I believe he lived to the age of 2, and was not in as bad a condition as this baby.
Maybe they will gain some time...it's still putting off the inevitable. He might be alive, but it's unlikely he will have quality of life. I wonder if he even has any awareness.

This treatment is experimental and even if it works there is only a 10% that it will improve Baby Charlie's life!!
I am at a total loss why they would put their child through experimental treatment for a 10% it MAY improve his life - there is not evidence to say it will.
The pope needs to mind his own beeswax to be frank!
