Dark Justice are certainly making good headway into this problem.

Their activities have led to 42 convictions and so far seen 21 men jailed.

Okay.
I don't have a problem with it.
As the police are OK with it I don't see why anyone else shouldn't be OK with it. Good luck to them and thank you for what you are doing Dark Justice.
Exactly. They're not doing anything wrong. If they were, they'd be answerable to the law like everyone else.
So you are content to encourage vigilante groups ? Others may not be so law abiding. It's opening the floodgates with tacit approval.
You can't write off ideas in case some people act illegally. If we did that, everything would be a bad idea. You need to be aware of possible drawbacks and minimise them if possible, but "thin end of the wedge " is never a valid argument.

The not so law abiding groups with be dealt with by the law.
The law abiding groups ... carry on regardless.

Oh, I forgot - and the Courts and the CPS seem OK with it as well;-)
It's really just neighbourhood watch but instead of looking for litter and petty vandalism they're doing something to protect children from sexual predators.
Good enough.
