How do you get over heartache from a guy you believed was the one?

I'm really struggling. I cant eat. Im losing weight fast. I feel constant sick. I cant sleep. Im mentally drained.

There's 100% no chance of reconciliation. How can I heal quickly. This pains crippling me.

been there done it blacky - for me it took many years as I truly thought he was the one and he was one good very kind man. but he wanted to me marry quickly - he had 2 children and I would have had none - so i couldn't make mind up quick. however he went onto marry a nice lady and now I can see he is very happy and I am happy for him. Really am. Time will run its course for you black = but don't make it as long as mine 25 years. mad I was.
Write him a letter. Pour out ALL your feelings. Say exactly what you think of him - then burn the letter. It DOES help.

PS eat a piece of toast or a packet of crisps or ANYTHING while you write.
Been there, done it, got the t shirt. I was so desolate I locked myself away for a week, not eating etc. Looking back I realise how silly I behaved. Of course you will get over it. I think with me it was the pitying looks I got from from friends as I was engaged to him.
I can't see that Blackrose has responded to all these, sensible comments. Is there any way of drawing her attention to them?

well just think about those people who cares you most your friends, family they also worried about you
Try and take on the advice given here, and as Jourdain2 says, join a choir or an evening class. ie. painting, drawing or a craft of some kind, maybe a badminton group, line dancing, anything. You will meet new people and with a new interest, you will begin to heal.

I am very overwhelmed at such a large volume of support on here. Thanks everyone. I am getting there. taking it day by day. Eating a bit more too. I've surrounded myself with friends. I'll just have to suck it up.
You'll get through it, have faith in yourself x
