T-Shirt Weather?

Yesterday,the average seemed to be about 4 degree here. Yet I must have seen more than a dozen people in t-shirts. A few also sported shorts.
Why-oh Why??? Don't they feel the cold?
...OR is it a way to appear "hard" and tough?

My postie has always worn shorts,as do all the posties I see locally. He also does his rounds like a man possessed!

I am a boy of the 50's. I didn't have my first pair of long trousers, until I went to the Secondary Modern, at age 11.

So it was shorts in all weather. Any other boy from the same period will tell you about the terrible chapping that we used to get on the inner thighs, during the winter. Ruddy awful !

i wear shorts and a tee shirt all year round but thats my choice

People do tend to tell me daft things because they know I'll fall for it. Gullible is my middle name :)

My postman alway does his rounds as if he is running the 100 metres! Must be to keep his legs warm!

I asked my Postie a couple of years ago, during a very cold patch, when we had 6 inches of ice all over the pavement, if he was cold....

"only when I stop to answer questions like that" !

I hate seeing little ones in buggies under-dressed for the weather. One the other day had just a little cardigan and trousers on and no shoes and socks. Crazy!

Me too,naomi. I saw a baby with no hat on yesterday... it was 4 degrees and bitter.I wanted to say something, but didn't risk it.
