Are these mails genuine ? I haven't seen any evidence that they are and it seems to me that its an attempt to smear him with a false story, or, as Trump would have it, an "alternative truth"

I may be wrong however, although there is no mention of this on the BBC News website.

Why shouldn't Beckham get a knighthood? They are handed out to all and sundry these days, I mean if Andy Murray can get one for playing tennis then anyone can get one. Sir Wayne Rooney anyone?
