Ha ha! Well he certainly isn't going to hand himself over that's for sure!
I suspect he made that statement to have everyone believe he was wanted by the US authorities when in fact he isn't. Now that Manning is to be released (not technically 'pardoned') it throws the spotlight back on him. But it would be hard to hand yourself over when you aren't actually wanted ;-)
The bottom line is he IS still wanted by Sweden
