I have just started this and am enjoying in immensely ! Its been up on my bookshelf for years and I must have forgotten about it. Has anybody else read it ?

Also what about his brothers books ?

jourdain; I know we're off topic, but I'm pleased to hear that, as you probably know there have been some notoriously bad speller writers; Jane Austen, Scott Fitzgerald (apparently the worst of all) Ernest Hemingway and several Nobel prizewinners - and I'm not too good myself :0)

Khandro :) I'm pretty good now at spelling - but aged 10/12 I was one of the 'erratic, but brilliant' ones. Still struggle with a couple of words :( Austen's 'Freinds' is a classic.

One term we had a spelling competition in English Language class.

In the last round I could deal with the other finalist's diarrhoea, but he couldn't handle my misogyny.
