malagabob - actually it was a 'filigree' Siberian hamster - which makes it even more nonsensical!

Sadly Mr Sachs is only going to be remembered as Manuel, although he had a full and varied career as an actor.

ummmm - it was a Mail campaign (against the BBC of course) at the time. But I think it's the case that, at least for non-Corrie watchers like me, it probably was the last time he was in the news.
