Just returned from Tenerife ( Adeje) some on here might have been aware of those Two Wheeled Electric Scooters flying around the walking areas with no concern for the public safety, I had taken this up with the police / Tourist board when my wife near got hit by an Idiot using the dam thing's, at that time Nov 2015 the police reply to me, they could not do anything, but after many many accidents they have now banned the things, I had noticed this last week.

Not sure what these things are called Smurf, they are upright, on 2 front wheels, the person stands upright with the upright handlebar control, they have also banned the use for people who ARE NOT Disabled from Hiring mobility scooters, again a good rule.
Segway?
Segway
That does sound like a Segway. They are actually quite hard to ride.

As said Prude, in the hand of an idiot they are a lethal weapon, and thank you for the name, Segway.

Just logged in, Yes Balders they were a pain, but now gone.
They have Segways here in the UK as well.
Just returned from Lanzarote ( lovely island to visit ) where in Playa Blanca on Market day for the town where people are a walking nightmare and don't look where they're going.......either looking at their mobiles or looking sideways when walking ahead....got a bit fed up so pushed some away before they collided with us.....they say " oops sorry about that "...... annoying to say the least.
