Where are they all? I have only seen a couple all year, is it a nature thing as i haven't had any greenfly either, do the two go together?

This reminded me that I've only just seen some ladybirds this week...and they were the first. The ones I saw in the park yesterday were quite dark red...not the usual bright ones.
Plenty here in N. Wales at present!

Maybe the lack of green fly made the difference, not that I'm not pleased not to have had any of those, but I do miss the ladybirds.
I've not seen many ladybirds or even butterflies this summer, sadly.
When the fog lifted, around noon today, I saw loads of ladybirds flying around.
So many, I had to keep the windows shut!
Strange isn't it. We had this question about wasps recently and I am inundated with the nasty things. Same gs for ladybirds. There are loads around
Lots of ladybirds here too. It's been a beautiful day today and the sunshine seems to have brought them out along with the bees.
My house was bombed by loads of ladybirds yesterday ! Thousands of them, and I too had to close the windows.
When i cleaned my windows today,i found a bunch at the corner of my bedroom window!
