I don't know if anyone saw the TV programme about the Beatles, I think called It Was 40 Years Ago Today. The Sgt Pepper album was covered by different bands. The Kaiser chiefs did a great cover of Getting Better, but the stand out cover was by the Stereophonics of the Reprise. The thing is that they had practiced the opening version all week, lined up to record and were told by George Martin, no you are doing the Reprise. Doh. They went away for an hour to run through it. They then nailed it and George Martin actually said,,,,"wow you boys can play".
