Can anyone actually recommend a PPI claim company that don't take too big a fee and are honest to deal with? Not got time or inclination to do it ourselves
You still have to dig out info for the PPI claim companies- they will just write the letters for you. You can get standard letters from the Martin Lewis/Money Savings Expert. I would consider doing it yourself- just list the companies (you can find them by doing a one off credit file check) then send the standard letters and wait for the cheques. For the difference in workload/hassle maybe you'll decide it's not worth giving a third of your money away to a company that sees it as easy money.
But I know some on here have used them and someone may recommend a company. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole though
They all take 30% it is a standard fee. It is VERY easy to do it yourself. If you know the name of the company that charged you the PPI you just have to ask them for a claim form and fill it in,the company have to do all the checking for you and just send you the cash.
Done it myself 3 times Vern, providing you have eveidence, Agreement Numbers, you can not go wrong, I would not employ these PPI Companys If I was not capable of doing the job myself, If you have "Past" Bank Statements that's a start. I'm on with one at this Time, Peugeot Finance for a car my wife had in 2005.
There is a company that charges 10% which is about as fair as you're going to get with a company doing the 'work' for you.
First off call the bank/lender, they may do the PPI claim over the 'phone.
