Love this nugget of info re said Teacakes..... Retired RAF bomber pilot Tony Cunnane told of how Tunnock's Teacakes became a favourite ration snack of the V bomber nuclear deterrent flight crews based at RAF Gaydon, especially after discovering that they expanded at high altitude. This ended after one was left unwrapped and exploded on the instrument...

I love those tunnocks, I'm like Buenchico, never just one, trouble is, the little silver wrapping. Having a slice of light fruit cake here with lashing of butter and cup of tea

The fruity tea cakes we get here are similar to fruit loaf but shaped like a bun .then toast with lashes of butter

What I see just goes off on a tangent and doesn't bother coming back.

Father-in-law was gifted in arty stuff until his hands and eyesight became poorly, he's passed the gene on to a few offsprings and then theirs :-)
Ah they make nice caramel bars; something I very rarely have now-a-days due to the number of calories. Although today I was surprised to spot a simple penguin bar had even more !
I don't know why they are called teacakes when they are just chocolate-covered marshmallow. To me a teacake is a currant bun and should be toasted.
