And if you carry a donor card, how would you feel about your face being transplanted? I've always carried a card but can't make up my mind about this. Anyone is welcome to my internal organs but really not sure about my face.
Ive read that people are reluctant to donate their eyes. Don't really get that. I wonder why the eyes are difficult to part with? I was just reading an article about someone who has had a face transplant. Ken4115.... I was thinking that too. Bone structure must be important.
I am not donating my eyes - there is a personal reason and also my visual impairment would mean they would be of no real use for transplantation any way.
They are more than welcome to any part of me that can help some poor soul. I have always been a donor card carrier and now registered. My family know how strongly I feel about this so there is no barrier.
