I have stopped eating chocolate. Yes I have!! Im not fibbing. Since Sunday I have only had 4 or 5 little squares of chocolate and its killing me. No matter what I am doing all I can think of is chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. Big gooey chocolate cakes covered with melted dripping chocolate, flakes and buttons and turkish delights bars....you get the picture lol. What can I do to take my mind off chocolate? Im gonna give in, I know I am. Help pleaseeeeeeeee

win a years supply of chocolate - that's just spiteful! :o)

Your body will get used to it, and the cravings WILL stop. But you can help yourself by eating sweet healthy things, like honey on toast for breakfast, and fruit as often as poss. This will actually really help the cravings. If you absolutely can't do without it, get a little bar of Green and Blacks from Holland and Barrett- the dark variety, not milk. It will give you the fix whilst actually being much better for you!

Hiya - I gave up chocs for Lent - so I would feel too guilty if I had some (not that I go to church!!) I would sniff all the lovely Easter Eggs in the shops yum. Would you trust yourself to just sniff the choc and not eat it? Or what about some toiletries that smell of choc. You can get those patches that smell of vanilla that are supposed to kerb your cravings, but Ive never tried them.

Good Luck, the first week is the hardest

Isn't it funny what certain people crave - I could quite easily never touch clocolate again in my whole life - in fact I can't remember when I last bought it!

psst champs, have you seen the AB hanky? ;)
hey pixi im hear to help send me all your uneaten or even partially nibbled chocolate and i will eat it for you x

Well done Pixi. You will be fine hun. The first few days are the worst and you will get head aches coz you have withdrawn it from your body. But after that it will be easy. I have done it before. :o)

Drink loads of water too.

Hi Pixi, when I was dieting, I used to get a pot of natural yoghurt and mix it with a level teaspoon of 'Options' chocolate. You only need a teeny bit and voila - chocolate yoghurt (with mint/orange/whatever flavour Options you're using!). Mmmmmmm.....

I know you're not dieting, but it'll still stop your cravings!! xxx

Paul McKenna has a wonderful technique for completely stopping eating certain foods. He says to imagine the most revolting thing you could possibly ever eat. Imagine the taste, the texture and keep imagining until you feel really sick. Then think of the thing you are trying to give up (choc in your case!).

To be continued............... (because AB is still playing up)

continued

Imagine it tasting like the revolting stuff and keep imagining it until you feel sick again. In time everytime you see chocolate you will feel sick. (In my case I had to think of vomit as my 'revolting' thing, in an effort not to eat cream cakes and I haven't eaten one since.)

However, beware, you might never like chocolate again!!! Is that what you really want Pixi!!! xxxxx
