I have never made one!
Some of the online recipes say to poach the fish first and some say to put the raw fish in the sauce.
I will be making it on Friday for Saturday. Anyone know if it makes any difference to taste, consistency, storage etc
Thank you

I always make mine with raw fish.
I put raw fish in the dish, cover it with the sauce, spinach and potato and cook in the oven for half an hour .
I poach the fish in milk, peppercorns and a bay leaf and then remove them and use the milk to make the sauce. I doubt it makes a huge difference though.
