Are there any males out there who actually watch ITV's primetime schedule? On any given night you will find programmes dedicated to the female viewer i.e. soaps, docu-soaps, or progs like 'celebrity fit ( not fat! ) club' or progs about some minor celebs ( 'I'm a celebrity....' anyone? ). I can't remember the last time I watched a programme on ITV (apart from Champions League! ). We now seem to be living in a feminine society where celebrity and gossip are Gods!

I what that stuff and I'm male.
I hope this answers your question :D o_O
I'm struggling to remember the last time I watched anything on ITV1. The last show I remember watching on ITV2 was "Wolf Lake" a couple of years back.
Lowest common demonitnator junk channel doesn't have as snappy a ring as ITV but is a far accurate discription of it's content........as you say other than the occasional football match there is nothing of any quality on this trash ridden hell hole of a channel.
mrs bobley made me sit through celebrity fit club last night, and i was amazed that this kind of pish actually gets airtime - obviously people do watch it (the bobley's are a case in point) but why are we as a nation accepting this stuff more these days?

does anyone really care if feltz, starr and other minor non-entities (amy lame? who??) lose a few stones. what difference will it make to our sad little lives if the bloke from footballer's wives (another pile of sh*te) slims down enough to buy a new pair of trousers?

jesus wept, its pitiful, and I'm amazed at SavageMonkey's admission that as a male he enjoys this tosh, but there you go - you can't please all of the people all of the time.
I know a few people who voice similar opinions about ITV, watch it regularly, but would rather die than admit it
savagemonkey is allowed to watch it if he wants to; why is pride such a huge disabling value? Why must we all be uniform entities, to please the government and make their job easy; is that a valid reason? have i gone off-thread. p.s. i never watch that drivel but i defend to the death a man's right to watch it ;-)
i invested in a DVD player for Christmas (on the pretext of buying it for the little vaders!) for the simple reason that terrestrial TV has gone down the toilet, and ITV is the prime felon of this tragedy of the death of british TV. never have i seen such utter cak that is broadcast on ITV primetime tv - emmerdale, the bill, coro, celebrity "get my face on tv i'm in need of more cash" and fly-on-the-wall cr@p. At least though, we can protest by turning over (and denting their revenue as advertising sales slides), unlike BBC where we're forced to fund them whether we watch them or not.
Not that I'm trying to defend the BBC or the license fee, but if it wasnt for the license fee the BBC would be full of simialr dross (yes OK it has its fair share of soaps and Reality TV but nothing like the levels on ITV).
Only fools and horses is on tonight yetableedinggain (Beeb1) - who you trying to kid BadBob?
