This is all I have to go on , it may be a book or a film
1.A man stands on a coast that should not be there, holding in his arms a baby girl. With a heavy heart, he obeys the orders he has been given, and abandons the baby in this deserted place. He has been warned that there are dangerous wild beasts in the area. He soon discovers, to his cost, that this is true. But the baby, against all the odds, survives.
Maybe I was thinking of Jungle Book but that was a baby boy
Leaving aside your insistance in sticking with gender stereotyping, fiction-factory, is it the man or the coast that shouldn't be there?
