Birthday Present.

Can anyone recommend a birthday gift for a 6 year old boy? (My grandson) It's not till next Wednesday. His mum and dad have got him a trampoline. He already has lots of Lego. Has bike and scooter. Even his mum has run out of ideas. Any inspiration out there? Thanks.

You've not given us a budget, which doesn't help.
I bought one of these for a very special boy's 5th birthday last year. I didn't see him until nearly two months later though, at his Dad's birthday barbecue bash.
Knowing how quickly youngsters break things, or simply get bored with them, I thought that he'd probably forgotten all about his gift from me by then but, instead, I found him racing around everyone there, determined to show off his watch which could (among many other things) take photos:

So it was definitely a present which was appreciated!

I know it seems a good thing to go down the technical route but I think you need to concentrate on bringing out the playful side. I always buy my nieces proper toys and dressing up outfits.
When they were 6 I bought then some books to encourage reading and dressing up outfits and puzzles but the biggest hit was some colouring books that I chucked in at the last moment!
