I can recommend Woodlands Country House - its exceptional and dog friendly- not the cheapest but well worth the money. We also had a very good meal at Rick Steins restaurant for my birthday on our way to a holiday in Cornwall. A selection box of local pasties was great to.

There is a Travelodge in Wadebridge well within your 15 mile radius. Plenty of places to eat and not as expensive as Padstow.
