This is not me, but it is a good example of the type/style of beard I've had for years now and have no intention of changing.

I think I have this right......the wearing of trews with no belt, resulting in the said trews hanging around their buttocks, exposing their underpants originated among the black community in the States, as it is the only way that trews can be worn while inside prison, belts having been confiscated as a suicide risk.

Therefore, its said to be an expression of solidarity with the Bros who are serving time.

I can't bear to see young men with their trousers half way down their bum. It reminds me of a scene in Miranda where she chases one of these boys to pull his trousers up. What do they think they look like?

jomifl....I can't recall actually growing any pubic hair but it sort-of just arrived one day, in about 1965. One day it wasn't there and the next it was !

Actually, the fashion these days is for boys and young men to shave the ruddy stuff off, which I don't understand at all. Most of mine has disappeared now that I am in my early 60's and I would dearly love to get it back again.

Perhaps a merkin is called for ?

I'm not sure if there is actually any connection between beardies and wearing trousers around ones knees, just be assured that my trousers are securely fastened around my waist with a heavy leather belt in the time honoured fashion. Also currently looking into buying some braces to secure them even further!
