Do you trust a man with a beard?
Have read a lot about the 'psychology' of men with beards.
Like all 'studies' there are different outcomes...
Some studies seem to suggest that men with beards are 'real' men....caveman types who dominate and look after their families.
On the other hand there are the 'clean shaven' types who come across as 'reliable' and honest types, due to the fact that they arnt 'hiding' behind a mass of hair.
Personally, I alternate between been clean shaven and having a bit of designer stubble. (dunno what that says about me...a bit schizo maybe)

I've had a beard since I was 17.

You can trust me - I'm a Doctor.

Honest....
My late husband grew a beard in the winter and went clean shaven in the summer....same man. Beards are just hair.
I detest beards. I always think they make a man look scruffy.
My other half has very sensitive skin and any kind of shaving irritates so he only shaves when he feels like old father time. Still the same nutty bloke beard or not !
I alternate between, goatee, stubble and a full beard which I currently have.

//Have read a lot about the 'psychology' of men with beards.// I wouldn't bother, its a load of nonsense!!

I've had a Full-set for years, if there's a problem with it, it yours, not mine!
Do I trust a man with a beard ?
I wouldn't have been married to the same man, with a beard, for 42 years if I didn't .

Ratter //Have read a lot about the 'psychology' of men with beards.// I would agree.... Read a lot about the psychology of all sorts of things and think its all bunk.
Still interesting for a debate though.
I don't trust or mistrust men with beards. I don't particularly find them attractive though.
Grew my goatee last year for 'movember', couldn't be doing with just a tache and I've kept it ever since and love it :o)
^^accepted :-)
Hey :)

There's beards and then there's beards ! I agree that there has to be some kind of 'thinking' behind making the choice.

Some are manicured, which does fit in with a trend.

Some are messy, with no effort at all to tame it which does kinda suggest 'can't be bothered'

Some are just might fine and all the significent men in my life at some point have had a beard, my son is currently sporting one, and they haven't let me down, they've just fancied a change.Like us women with new hairstyles and colours I suppose.

Partial to a bit of designer as well...my face isn't though ;)

My last partner thought a bit of stubble was 'sexy'
My previous partner thought a 'skin chin' was great
Cant win....
I asked OH to grow a beard as I fancied him with one, that was 20 years ago.
He won't get rid of it.
Be careful what you wish for.
