Does anyone else feel irritated by the "breaking news" bar at the bottom of the tv screen? Well, I say bottom of the screen but it usually manages to obscure at least half.

One instance was, when the police were showing a knife similar to the one that poor woman was stabbed to death outside her house with, you couldn't even see the thing! If they were going to ask people to keep a look - out for it, how could anyone see it?

This happens all the time. The ticker tape bit is OK, but I think the big bar is just that TOO bid! and too high.

Anyone else agree?

It may be a generation thing, but I can't listen to one piece of information, and read another one at the same time, so I ignore the news bar, and listen to the broadcast instead.
