....according to our etiquette expert in Northants.....☺

Local radio phone in was discussing the 39 steps to being a gentleman.... published today I think......an expert....I believe she runs a business in Northampton...must check that... called in....

A gentleman is never rude....she says.....and he never pees in the bath.... a lady may....but never a gentleman.

A gentleman never wears brown shoes and never picks his nose......I'm not sure if he can when wearing black shoes...she didn't say....

But I knew I lived in a different world when she was asked about......... A gentleman always carries a house guest's luggage to their room....

Well of course not.....she replied.....when I visit friends the staff always carry my luggage......

I was only listening with half an ear......but I will find it on catch-up just to hear her again.....☺....x

Well ... I've been through the list and scored 35 and a half (I don't do sailing) ...

... perhaps one (or more) of my occasional AB drinking/dining companions would care to reflect on whether that makes me a gentleman or not :)

You were a perfect gentleman, my love......when I asked the barman if we could have his balls to play with you didn't bat an eyelid....

You kept a safe distance for the rest of the afternoon though.....☺
