Haha - I said to dog - hey lets go out well you know for you-know-what ?
and the Dog said Chrissakes are you joking ? are you aware it is raining against my bum ?
so he let me go up the gynel and stayed near the house and waited for me
oh no, is it winter already?
Gusts of 80mph here, damage done.

despite all the rain of recent weeks - i'll wager that come summer, the environment agencies will still be bleating about water shortages, and imposing hosepipe bans
Peter if you went in the ginnel, then you throw a bucket of soapy water, bad boy!
I keep hoping some of our neighbours' trees will be blown over (and not towards our house) but it hasn't happened, our winds aren't strong enough.
Gusts of a similar speed here to, Mamya, some trees down and roads closed.
Is February filldyke a country wide expression?

The winds are supposed to be 25mph here...with gusts of who knows how much. It sounds sleety now...and we had thunder a short while ago.
Plenty trees down here jno, you'd love it - firemen battling to move a 70 foot conifer at the moment. Not sure they are loving it.
Been awful down here since 11 last night, rolling thunder to kick off, 11 this morning in Truro was truly foul, 2-4 not so bad but then we lost power for 15 minutes...and now the winds are back. However, one sister is in the front line not far from Morecambe and it really is barrelling through up there, 100+ hitting TWR et al.... stay safe, guys and gals.
Feb' fill dyke Yes!! And another true one "When the days lengthen the gales strengthen!"
And yes we live in Morecambe, well Heysham actually, and yes!! I have not heard winds like these. well above the normal gales , must be 80 plus
My sis is around the corner, just outside Arnside....
53 here
Know Arnside well D T. I think the wind will be coming over the Knott so she could be sheltered . Says he !!!
I always knew that you were a youngster, Psybbs, but thought it was 21.....

My sister is getting it - spoken to her about a half an hour ago...
DT :-) I hope everybody is safe
I think that Lady J gets it more in the neck where she is than here, at least we have a bit of a bowl and a church to protect us on the west and south sides - though the phone line is very exposed.
Gust of 108 mph at the end of our county. Here I'd say it must be 80 or 90. It knocked me off the pavement earlier. I'm pretty sure it's beginning to die down now.
