Looks pretty dire up there and some shocking images via the BBC website show Scotland more than bearing the brunt.

Hope you're all safe in Jock Land.

Apologies for this one:

While Scotland gets on with the current weather, a 'State of Emergency' has been declared in Glasgow.

Greggs is closed.
They happen more often than you think up here just doesn't make the news south of the border. Mind you believe we've recorded a 165mph gust on Cairngorm this afternoon, that's silly!!

I've just tried to ring Standard Life in Edinburgh and they are saying that there would be a delay in getting someone to speak to because of adverse weather conditions.
The one with the Wind Turbine destroying it'self...brilliant.
the Scottish wind trubines should be in Poland by now with those wind speeds.

Hope all of you are safe up there - there's also a major incident in Swaledale being reported - bridges swept away!
Yes and I do know that Swaledale is in Yorkshire.
Wind Turbine self destructing ...

Was that today Sunny Dave?
Yes - Ardrossan wind farm
Wow!
Have to say the cat wasn't very impressed when it had to nip out for a wee!

It seems to be getting a bit quieter now - we have loads of concrete/tiles from my neighbours roof lying on the path at the side of the house - could have quite easily have killed somebody :o(
Where I am, the wind has been given a name I probably can't repeat on here.

Anyway.. This guys reaction.. OMG!! Haha!

:O I didn't realise the name was on the video... I apologise!! Haha!
It's OK Erin - annie got there first ...

I was wondering about the wind farms. They should be generating enough leccy to last us until next year at this rate. I can imagine those turbines out in the oceans doing cartwheels, just what you need when you are steering a supertanker in a gale. lol.
That link is scary sunnydave, hope there's nothing in the way of that'
