Is there anything in the Koran to tell you to blow yourself up so that you end up like pieces of meat from a butchers shop in order to further your religion.

A few years cults have to go through a series of de-programming to return them to normality.

Could this not be done on a mass scale through TV to prevent others from being led up the wrong path?

As I understand it, suicide is against Islam. Martyrdom is not.

"Suicide bomber" was a term invented in the West to try and describe what in Islam is known as a Fedayeen or Shahid... a martyr. The point of the bomber isn't suicide, it is to kill infidels in battle. This is not just permitted by Muhammad, but encouraged with liberal promises of heavenly reward.
Another lunatic trying to kill innocent people because of religion.

Religion is poison and Islam is the most toxic of all.
A little of the point here " sorry for that "

The point of the bomber isn't suicide, it is to kill infidels in battle < Quoted

This is interpreted as battle ?

i obviously dont know religion that well but i figured all regions agreed with teh 10 comandments
" no killing being one " . especialy the innocent , and as " suicide " bombers kill muslims to would that not be seen as murder even in the eye's of the bomber trainers / preachers / organisers of such events ?

the sad part is every religion wants Everyone to follow their belief and ways , instyead of letting people live a good decent and happy life . if religion was kept as it is ment to be a personal thing instead of the need to " covert " or even eradicate none believers the world would be a much happier place.
then why bomb sunnis (sic) in Pakistan.....moslems just seem intent on destruction. 'Cut your nose, to spite your face' comes to mind. If you cant get things your way - blow it up; hardly civilised thinking.

The Imams need to mend these flaws in their teachings, else there will be carnage.
It never ceases to amaze me just how feeble a mind you must possess to honestly believe that the greatest thing you can do for your religion is kill yourself, or in the language of religion - become a martyr.

Suicide / martyr - it's pure sophistry.

They're sold a story that the greatest thing they can do to impress their God is to kill themselves and take as many 'infidels' with them as possible. And for this, the ultimate sacrifice, they are rewarded with what? An afterlife with a ton of virgins to boss around and bonk whenever they so please. What a prize... not.

Apart from the obvious fact that no one has ever seen this so-called afterlife, that no one has ever come back from it to confirm it's existence and there is absolutely no physical evidence that it exists at all, we're told that the ultimate trophy is to have absolute power over some women.

So that would be much that same situation that many Muslim men have already wouldn't it?

I can't see the attraction myself. I'll stick the 'real' world and leave the immediate afterlife to meek minded, gullible, moronic, religious cretins.
On Skynews "Iran threatens Gordon Brown with 'punch on nose' for interfering in their affairs.........hang onto you shoes ;).
the bombings that go on are not all for regious reasons .
so are political which is actualy as bad if not worse as they to are trying to force an issue and way of life onto others .

religious or not bombing innocent people is WRONG , trying to force anyone to live a way of life they dont want is wrong. and anyone who thinks it isnt is simply deluded.

" quick question !" not being that interested in the idea of religion a question comes to mind , after making yourself a martyr killing others and basicly throwing away that most precious thing " life its self " commiting a moral and regious bad doing by mudering people , they expect to be rewarded with an afterlife with a ton of virgins . my question is simple .. im guessing here it states an afterlife with virgins but does it make plain they are female ?. And secondly how patheticly stupid does one need to be to believe there are going to so many virgins who want to be with so many murders ? . no forget i asked its all to ludicrus to be even taken seriously
Back to throwing shoes.....my local post office run by asians has a collection bin for shoes - would that be WMD?
S C Says ''And secondly how patheticly stupid does one need to be to believe there are going to so many virgins who want to be with so many murders ? .

This is Islam, Women don't get to CHOOSE !

They say the reason why they carry out these acts is because they have been radicalised. Is that just another name for brainwashing? No sensible person would allow himself to be used unless they had festered his mind to carry out these atrocities. It seems they pick out the lonely easily led youths to do their bidding.
We know who these preachers of hate are protecting themselves in Mosques. Why don't the authorities apprehend them and return them to their country of origin which is usually Pakistan? The human rights process should become secondary to any defence of Western civilisation.
S_C : Not every religion wants everyone to follow their belief. Jews are content to practise it themselves and actually make it hard to join them. They retaliate when attacked, but don't go around blowing up innocent people at random.
yes it is Islam brionon , and i also stated . no forget i asked its all to ludicrus to be even taken seriously .

including the part of a heavenly afterlife where women are stil expected to have no choice .
It's ironic that those who encourage suicide bombers with promises of eternity in paradise never grab a place at the front of the queue. Their reluctance clearly doesn't occur to the brainwashed saps who believe it a privilege to blast themselves - and all those around them - to smithereens.
Naomi is right in saying what she said. Why the leaders don’t go and do or why do they not want their own kids to go to paradise by doing all this.

As far as Quran is concerned then Quran even asked people to be escorted to safety even in the battlefield if they surrender. And of course Quran says that the one who kill one innocent human is as he has killed whole humanity and of course it does not stop here and says that the one who saves one life is as he saved whole humanity. So where is it all coming from?

First of all so many unsolved issues that goes into decades, mainly Palestine where UNO resolutions are in the cold storage and no one ever thought about. Then 9/11, well it was more of an inside job than anything else but USA and CO went on invading a country. Then Iraq where no WMD’s were to be found and Mr Blair accepts that he would have attacked even without WMD. Why? Only because we did not like the person we once loved.

So I have never been a fan of Saddam and would never condone anyone innocent being killed but unfortunately not everyone thinks the same way. Many believe that now (good or bad) people are more aware of the issues few Muslim countries have been facing for years than ever before. And of course a good number of secret service agencies and politicians are using these things for their own gain.

But equation is very simple. Justice and equal standards when it comes to decide that how important the life of an innocent person is, regardless whether he is a Palestinian, Pakistani, Israeli, American or British. We should all condemn that but unfortunately even there we show double standards. If you do not agree with me then let’s see how many repeat my words.

“I condemn any innocent person being killed, anywhere in the world, by anyone (individual or a country)”.
A little way off the topic in discussion - but seeing television pictures of 'ordinary folk' in the streets, burning effigies and flags while firing rifles into the air does not seem to me as a disciplined society. But then I suppose we have to consider their low mentality. Koran (Quran) or Bible? I know which I choose.
The word innocent has different meanings to different people. For example, Ken Bigley was beheaded by fundamental muslim lunatics because he was not innocent in their eyes. He was guilty of being non-muslim – as far as they were concerned he was not 'innocent', because the Koran states on numerous occasions that those who are non-muslim are 'kafirs' and 'infidels' and are therefore guilty of giving offence to Allah. And we all know what happens when we offend Allah.

But in most people's eyes, Ken was an innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time who paid with his life by having his head hacked off while the whole incident was was filmed and streamed to the internet and cut to DVD for sale...

Basing any argument on the word 'innocent' is spurious unless the definition of the word itself is agreed upon by all parties and clearly, muslims who follow the Koran have a very different take on this particular word.

So who's innocent? I believe that Allah does not, has not and never will exist. The same goes for the Christian God and any other God you or anyone else would care to mention. In fact, I would go so far as to say that I believe that anyone who believes in a 'God' is suffering from a form of mental illness.

So Keyplus, would you describe me as innocent?
I agree with Birdie. Where Islam is concerned, 'innocent' is a highly debateable word.
I think these modern-day Muslims are manipulating the Islamic doctrine to suit their terrorist ways.
It isn't only Islamic terrorists who believe that the deaths of a few innocents shouldn't stand in the way of their aims.
When Americans bomb a compound in Afghanistan, with the aim of killing terrorists, they don't mind if innocent women and children are killed too.
It's just a year ago that the Israelis launched a murderous on the people of Gaza. As many as 1400 may have been killed.
So, if you want to 'de-programme' readers of the Koran you'd need to do the same with readers of the bible and the Torah.
