Days out

We have some friends going to stay with us for a few days this week from New Zealand, has anyone any suggestion where we could go for a day, you never know what to do with the weather. Thanks.

Yep - depending on where you live there's: London, Bath, York, Chester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, the Lake District, the Cotswolds, etc etc etc

That was my first thought, where do you live.

If you live in Aberdeen no point in us suggesting a day out to Cornwall.

In that case then Chester is a good option. Lots of shops in a really nice setting (most people are impressed by the Rows) and Roman ruins aswell, not to mention the beautiful river down which you can take boat trips. Other options are Skipton (nice market town and castle), Liverpool (two Cathedrals, Albert Dock and lots and lots of Beatles stuff). or York (tons of stuff to do there!).
