I will be travelling to Irleand soon and would like to stay in Dublin for a night or two. Any suggestions on where to stay right in Dublin that is not too expensive? Thanks

There are several possibilities (with reviews) on this website: http://www.hostelworld.com
Don't be put off by the word 'hostel' in that website's name; just use the 'Additional search options' to select both 'Budget Hotels' and 'Guesthouses'
Go for the Jury's Inn option. You rent by the room, so if there's a couple of you it works out really cheaply, it's 3 star and spotless. 3 locations http://dublinhotels.jurysinns.com/

The Arlington should be ok - they usually have offers on:
would not recommend staying in the centre especially in a hostel. Whilst the nightlife may be good so is the crime. Sorry to dampen things. the jurys is a good option . look up late rroms dotcom some nice accomadation slightly out of centre but on a bus route. Rathmines is a nice enough area quite central. Alternatively in town ther is the temple bar hotel
enjoy

I've been doing some research too recently and the best hotel I can find without spending loads of money seems to be the Burlington. It's very central too

The Burlington isn't very central - a good mile and a half walk... It was also closed, sold for demolition, then reopened 'temporarily' and I'm not sure if the standard it was famous for still applies

Hm I was just going by websites, expedia says it's 800m from Grafton Street, hotels.com says it's a 5 minute walk, and google maps estimates it at about half a mile.
We've booked it anyway so I can let you know if the standard is high or not!
