I hate the New Year celebrations I have been to in the past. My hubby and I fancy jetting off somewhere this year. Any ideas of a wow New Year instead of a flat one?

Why not save your cash and go to Fishguard for the new year. We have fantastic celebrations that have been rated among the best in the UK.

Where or what is Fishguard? Sorry for my ignorance!!!!!
Time Square in New York while it's still all Christmassy?
Fishguard is a holiday centre on the Pembrokeshire Coast
Sydney's are highly thought of - and it's summer - but high season so not cheap getting there.
Hi All,
Jenna, while I understand the allure of a Times square New Year, I wouldn't go for anything. It is packed, people line up for hours in the freezing cold and you are not allowed to bring ANYTHING in the secure area. Only a bit of money and and the Metro card for the subway. And it is usually FFFRRREEEZZZIIINNGGG!!!!

Then again I am a bit of a poop. I go to my friend's house and go out for an old people's early dinner with her kids and put on PJ's as soon as we get home and watch the ball drop on TV.
Madeira has a fantastic New Years Eve Firework display ,not as far to travel compared to NY or OZ and pleasantly warm at that time of year.
Have spent a couple of New Year's in Las Vegas. They have a great display of fireworks going off from the top of various hotels all along the Strip - starting at one end and going to the other end gradually. It is cold at night at that time of year but very sunny in the day - temp mid to late 50's.
