Honeymoon in Mexico in December

I'm planning a holiday in the Yucatan Peninsula, starting 1 December for two weeks. a few websites indicate that this is the rainy season. So my question is: how rainy can we expect it to be in December, can we still expect to have a decent holiday at this time of year in the Yucatan?

My understanding is that the Caribbean rainy season runs from June to September.

I have checked out the Yahoo weather site for the Yucatan which shows average monthly rainfall during December to be only 1.3 inches, with an average maximum daytime temperature of 85F = 29C and an average minimum daytime temperature of 64F = 18C.

So I would say you are looking at a honeymoon with a very summery Mediterranean type weather - Enjoy !!!

With road tax hikes hitting those with 2001-2006 registered cars, would you consider selling up and buying a pre-2001 model to escape the the tax mans wrath?

Yes

No

The hikes don't really bother me
