northern line to leicester square then piccadilly line - alternatively get out at leicester square & take the short walk along Long Acre.

But it's probably quicker just to walk all the way. Shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes. Leave Waterloo by exit 4, past the Omnimax and walk across Waterloo Bridge, across the Strand and Covent Garden is on your left.
