Dual Nationality - Passport Renewal

My daughter has to renew her British Passport, but as she has dual nationality, she has to send in the foreign passport for the application to be processed. Has anyone had to do this, and if so, how long did it take to get the passport back?

I imagine it will probably depend on your local passport office, but it took my d-i-l about 3 weeks.

Make a photocopy of the passport and have it notarised before she sends it in. My grandkids have dual nationality but have ID cards as opposed to passport and have never had to send anything in other than the old passport
