I honestly have reservations of what animal and which parts go into these things to be honest and it's just clever marketing, you can get 1 6 inch one for 50p so that is literally 2 of those joined together

I make my own giant sausage roll. 500 g sausage meat rolled in to the middle of sheet of bought in puff pastry, 25 mins in a 200deg oven and it's done.
Will feed 4 people if you're not up to eating it yourself!
Just made an even larger one with 1 Kg of sausage meat in an entire rolled out block of puff pastry , it fed 8 of us for lunch and still only 25 mins to cook. It was over 1 & 1/2 ft long and 4 inches thick.

^ Morrisons Butcher's choice sausage meat , not the rubbish. It's even better with 500 g chopped up cooking bacon instead of sausage meat.
