OH and I just just bat ck from Venice after a four day break to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, had a lovely time and ticked one off the bucket list by drinking 20 euro bellinis in Harry's bar,,,,of Hemmingway and Michael winner fame, place total rip off but been there etc, weather lovely and did mural glass factory etc, happy new year to all abers

I was there in June. We stayed in Croatia but got a catamaran over to Venice for the day. It was magical.

Isn`t Harry`s Bar where Michael Winner had a birthday dinner where Chris Rea told Joan Collins to eff off? That was the funniest thing I ever read in one of Michael Winner`s books

Thee are some places you just have to visit, and some things you have to do there. For me it was drinking a Singapore Sling in the Long Bar of Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Ridiculously expensive but it just had to be done!

We went to Venice from Porec Yugoslavia years ago Dom, I started singing O Sole Mio in the Middle of the Rialto Bridge, my wife walked away saying you are embarrassing, Oh Well, I enjoyed it.

Stopped at the River View Chico, 10mins from that Hotel.

I agree Chico for us it was drinking G&T at the Old Cataract in Aswan.

I've also had bellinis in Harry's Bar, and had their liver and whatever else was in with it there for lunch. It's expensive, but so is everywhere in the centre of Venice. I was there when the carnival was on. I really loved it.
