Between Wales and Surrey, possibly Cotswold area, or Gloucester Hereford? Going up towards Forth Bridge. Doesnt have to be Cotswolds, perhaps Wiltshire ? Not too expensive, a small market town type place not too quiet with pub and restaurants in walking distance. B&b accommodation. Am I asking too much? Thanks all.

Curiosity gets the better of me, you say you're going up to the Bridge, which I read as South to North, nowhere on mainland UK South of the line you give, Wales to Surrey, is more than 210 miles from the Bridge, which is an easy days drive so why not look for somewhere over the Bridge in South Wales. where are you starting from?
