We went to one booked through Siblu a couple of years back and it was fab. Check some out and then check out trip advisor.

HI, WHAT I ACTUALLY WANTED TO ASK ABOUT WAS ATTIRE IN THE SWIMMING POOL. lOTS OF WEBSITES SAY THAT MEN MUST WEAR LYCRA (SPEEDO) TYPE TRUNKS - HOW RIGOROUSLY IS THIS ADHERED TO?
Question Author
pants - sorry about caps
I've never seen that anywhere, sher - how can they rule what swimwear the chaps wear?
Question Author
it says "for hygeine reasons" but what on earth would that mean? less likely to wee if you are in speedos????
I have been to camp sites in France where the speedo rule is enforced 'for hygiene reasons'
The campsite I was at in the summer had the same rule so I bought some speedo's.
Fortunately the local populace was spared because the beach was so close that I went there all the time.
However I did see some youngsters in shorts in the pool with no apprent problem.
(I do know a campsite where the rule is no clothing at all if you don't want to wear lycra.....)
I wonder if some men walk around all day in their baggy shorts and then wear the same ones in the pool
I have also been to pools in Spain where everyone has to wear a swimming hat
Question Author
i reckon it's much much more of a health hazard for some men to be seen in speedos.
I think the reason is that if someone drops a log they're supposed to drain the entire pool which is obviously expensive to clean and refill.
Naturist camps would just hook it out and get on with it.....

*Chortlesplutter* really shoota??
Erm.....or so I've been told by a man in the pub!
Just read this on another site

... a subject of pool hygiene applicable to France and other European countries often raised - the idea being that speedos will be worn afresh to swim and will not therefore be dirty shorts with pockets which have also been used as street wear.
