you could use a site like superbreak but you would have to book the full break ie train and hotel.if you want to book trains seperately you would have to wait until end of sept
You can only book train tickets up to 3 months in advance unless as part of a package with a travel company.
Get in early at the end of September and you will have no trouble and get the best prices.
You can't book yet 6 months ahead is the max time allowed. You need to wait until it is just on the 6 month limit and do it then. Get in fast as soon as you get to the 6 months as the cheapest fares go very quickly.
under the terms of its licence, Network Rail is obliged to provide the train companies 12 weeks notice of any engineering works occasioning line closures or blockages. this means there's a 12 week horizon, beyond which the train companies services cannot be entirely confirmed. consequently bookings cannot be made beyond that time - as of today, bookings can be made only to 20th october.
You may find that it's no cheaper in some instances to book ahead. We had to make a journey to the Midlands via London recently, and the price was the same on the day as if we had bought since months in advance. Worth asking at your local station.
Sorry ment to say 3 months notice.
