If the budget stretches to it, the Hotel Sacher or the Bristol.
I can recommend the Ambassador Hotel, which is very central. Check out the hotel on Expedia, I managed to book our stay at around £100/night for a 5* hotel (but that did not include breakfast).
Or, have a look through here, http://www.hotelclub....ustria/Vienna-hotels/

Then choose, as far as your budget allows.

Thanks everyone ..... Hotel Sacher out of range sadly!!
Vienna is really a well developed city in Austria and here you will get the best options for accommodation according to your need and requirement and budget.

As you have written that you need a hotel which would be close to the city tourist attractions then i think Zur Wiener Staatsoper would be the best option for you. This is a well stylish hotel and less expensive as well. Visit the following link for more information,

Austria Hotel, Hotel Karntnerhof are also some of the best accommodation places.
