Received the following from my Primary teaching daughter....

Me: Why haven't you practised your spellings for the last 3 days?

Child: Well.... I wasn't well over the weekend, well... I wasn't exactly poorly but let's just say I had a lot of wind.

A first in my career as a teacher: flatulence is an excuse for not doing homework!!!

No Fire, she's the teacher
The child's a teacher? Wow, not sure which im more impressed by, being able to fart on command thus getting out of homework or their Doogie Howseresque climb up the educational ladder to be in the exalted position of being a teacher at such a tender age.

PS
I wasn't aware that teachers still did homework.
A colleague once received an absence letter at a school that I taught at that said " x has been absent as he has had the sh!ts".
