Bangkok

Hi all, I'm off to Thailand in a couple of weeks and will be spending the last 2 days in Bangkok. I'm thinking about doing one of the evening river boat trips that give you dinner, has anyone been on one of these that they can recommend, there will be my, hubby and two kids aged 10 and 12. I hate booking anything blind.

Many thanks for any replies.

Thanks Chris, I'll have a little gander. x
Besides an evening riverboat trip – you could try taking a river taxi/bus that offer excellent views of the river, while travelling with locals – at a bargain price.

Watch out for taxi/tuk-tuk drivers who want to take you to a jewellery store (on route to your destination) – and take an umbrella.
bangkok is a wicked place to be. the river cruise i never done but you can have a look at doing it through a travel company, like STA.

also i would say if you can find your way up to a roof top bar at night. the views are awesome.

and if you want to know what its like for the backpackers in bangkok take a walk down koh san road. lots of culture and its utter madness! my fav place in bangkok.
