Hi, going to Playa De Las Americas in June and was wondering if anyone can tell me what there
i.e. shops, restaurants etc
Staying at La Siesta hotel.

Hi Louhun88,
There are shops,bars and restaurants inabundance.However the best shops for electrical goods,watches etc are in Parque Santiago 3 (underground shops)area.It.s not far from where you are staying.
You must walk along GERANIUM WALK it runs from the marina to Play del bobo beach, bars and restaurants all along it

oh thats great dennis, im hoping for some good clothes shops as i went to Benidorm two years ago and everything was so much cheaper!
Do u know how far it is to Los Christianos or Torviscas, i read about some good restaurants there

Hello again,if you like to walk then you are in for a treat.you can walk into Las Christianos along the beach front,
Your hotel is in the flat area of Americas ,Torviscas is in the hilly area.
You can still walk to Torviscas along the sea front,you walk past Veronicas(night club area) to Playa Del Bobo beach,walk down the slope to the beach,50 yds. further walk up onto Geranium Walk ,at the end is the Marina furthur along is Playa Torviscas beach with the commercial center above it. However if walking is not your thing there are plenty of taxis around,not sure of price as i haven't been for 3 years.
There are good restaurants everywhere,and the best T-bone steaks.If you come across the english fish &chip restaurant ,where you will probably have to queue to get in,you may be dissapointed as the fish is not fresh but frozen.
WARNING..do not let any gypsy flower sellers anywhere near you,most are thieves.
