I am visiting London on route to Dublin in June and am planning on visiting only two tourist attractions : Hampton Court and the Tower of London.

Has anyone visited and can they tell me if they are worth the hype. Also , is there anyway of queue jumping by buying in advance?

Thanks in advance

I think so, though it will depend on exactly where your interests lie. The Tower is usually heaving with tourists, Hampton Court usually not so bad (because it's out of town).
With that username, I would have thought that you already visited the Tower of London, every night, with your head tucked underneath your arm ;-)

In my opinion, Hampton Court Palace is unmissable but the Tower is often very crowded and not as interesting.

You can avoid the queues for both by purchasing tickets online from the official website. (It's the same site for both attractions):

As others have indicated, whilst the Tower of London is right in the middle of London, Hampton Court is not and you would need to plan how to get there from where you are staying.

Thank you very much for your help (and jokes :-) )

I'll be onto hrp.org.uk before I go.

Looking forward to it , thanks!
visit madame tussards too - didnt think it was my kind of thing but loved it, well worth a visit. Is off the baker street station line.
If you want to travel from one to the other see if this suits. You get to take in some sights on the journey too but might spend longer getting there.
